Okay, so not counting the albino who has yet to make an appearance, we now have eight night furies, which is waaaay more than I ever thought we'd have.
We have: Toothless Rain Quickrage Ravenwing Toothless' Brother And three hatchlings.
Okay. So who has ideas for plotting with these guys?
So far we have, if I'm not mistaken, that Rain went looking for Hawkeye/Toothless and found, to her dismay, that he's been living with the humans. She decided to stay with him, but the clan will be missing her. Quickrage was furious when he found out that his son had stooped to that level.
So... I don't want too many night furies. The good thing is most of them are related xD Anyway, if I'm missing anything, correct me. And if you have ideas, post them here!

Hey Dusty, I would like Quickrage to take out a small team (I am guessing Ravenwing may insist she join him, but he'll try to convince her to stay with the clan) to confirm the report that Hawkeye and Rain with him are staying with humans. I don't believe he would engage with them using this small reconnaissance team, BUT we know his temper so I guess it depends on what happens in the thread. I think this would happen earliest before and latest after the Night Fury event you were planning (what is this anyway and may I take the team out?). As for the hatchlings and the brother, we've already talked about that the brother is the heir chosen after Hawkeye's disappearance perhaps became even a potential mate for Rain (fern's idea). The hatchlings, now that we have them, I don't see as pulling off very active roles. However, that being said, everyone knows the havoc children can create. Plus then 2 of 3 of these children have their father's quick temper. Might be interesting. Those are my thoughts for now on the furies. Fury P.S. I feel a little bad for Rain. In that list, she is surrounded by one family.

I would say that the hatchlings can be NPC's for a long time, until someone is interested in adopting them. I might want to play one myself, but I have yet to decide which one. I might save my last night fury for Rain and Hawkeye's offspring, though. For now I think until they have grown up, we can alternate who plays them since they will be NPC's; as in me and Fury would both have control of them, as long as we respect each other when we interact them with other characters. I think they could be potentially fun for NPC's, that way their characters can be fleshed out without them being real characters yet. When someone wants to adopt one, then they can develop them further, etc. Also we'll need someone to adopt Hawkeye's brother, so maybe start an adoption thread?

Well, I'd really rather keep it one night fury per person unless I say otherwise. Just because they're supposed to be rare dragons and everyone wants one anyway. But you guys can start adoption threads for them if you like.

I can understand the one rare dragon per player. Too often someone can join a forum only to find all the rare or canon characters already taken by a few players. This can be good. It also adds more variety into the Night Fury clan. But could we do a reconnaissance mission or should I wait to move Quickrage forward?

Sure, but the actual attack will have to wait until later, as I've said. Just for pacing, really.

Sounds good. Yes, no attack. Really he wouldn't take the clan out and risk all of them to Hawkeye's supposed fate without knowing all the risks first. Thanks.

I would be interested in playing the brother. I was thinking he has a big ego since he is the only heir to the clan, and activily tries to woo Rain. He could add a little humor to the plot of course it's up to you guys. You can either create most of his profile and I can adopt him, or you can let me create him. Again, totally up to you. As for now, the babies won't be important as you said. Maybe after this main plot is done they can have an important role. When they get a little older or something.

Oh! I just remembered to mention that I'd really want Halvor to bond with a night fury. It would be cool if we could work that into the plot.

I'm sure it could be worked in. Halvor may have an easier time bonding with one of the gentler furies. Though it could be both interesting and dangerous for Halvor if he tried bonding with Quickrage's mild-tempered daughter. Then again, all except one fury listed is his family. GOOD luck, kid. As for these hatchlings and the brother, what would be easier? We write the bios for adoption or they just get adopted and then get bios? For the brother and current heir, I'm only remembering at this point that he was groomed to be heir after Hawkeye 'died'. He likely hates Hawkeye due to the constant comparison to him. Don't quote me on that. I'm just adding what was thrown out there during a chatbox brainstorm to this brainstorm thread.

Just an idea to throw around, what if the brother has a change of heart? He could bond with Halvor. Just a thought, though.

Hmmm... Didn't even really think of that. That would break Quickrage's heart, I think. Could make for great plot.

I think that would be really good for the plot as well. So if you want to RP the brother then I don't mind adopting a wittle night fury baby *squeezes tiny night fury* Or letting new players claim them *holds on longer to night fury with tears in eyes as unknown member takes him/her away* *holds back tears* No... I must be strong.

Haha well the rule is one night fury per member. And I think you qualify, Mid. Unless Rain wants to bond with Halvor. Either way is fine.

So if the rule is one night fury per person does that mean I have to get rid of one of mine? If not I don't think it's fair for me to be able to have two and everyone else one. Besides we don't really have a lot of members here and no telling when new people will join. And with the plot a clan has been discovered. And since httyd 3 is likely to bring in more night furies I don't see why we limit them so strictly. I know in httyd Toothless is the only one but this is fanfiction and in this fiction a clan has been discovered. I get they are supposed to be rare I just think limiting them to one person person is a tad strict... Especially since players can't even play their own hatchlings. In most rps the player of the parents have first pick if they want to play the hatchlings. Which is the same here I guess but impossible for night furies due to the limit. But if it were a nadder baby it would be no problem. That alone isn't fair. Am I right?
